Vishnu Phasathanh

I turn operational problems into practical digital products.

Working across Business, Marketing, Product, Technology, Creative and AI.

My strongest differentiator is not any individual tool or framework. It is identifying a real business problem, understanding the workflow behind it, redesigning the process, and turning the solution into a working digital product.

Selected Transformations

Three production systems that replaced manual workflows, and what measurably changed.

01

Digital Marketing Reporting & Analytics Platform

Marketing Reporting

Production

Before
1–2 days / brand report
After
3–4 brand reports / person / day
Context
4-person reporting team · ~40 client brands

A four-person team prepared monthly Facebook performance reports in Excel by hand: combining columns to calculate metrics, ranking top content by KPI category, maintaining three-month comparisons, and locating posts one by one to collect insights that CSV exports do not contain.

I designed and built a production web application that turns this into a structured step-by-step workflow. Where post-level insights are missing from the exports, the platform follows the post links in the uploaded data and captures those screenshots itself.

In the product

  • CSV ingestion and processing
  • Configurable KPI management
  • Top-performing post ranking
  • Dashboards and chart visualisation
  • Multi-month performance views
  • Structured step-by-step reporting workflow
  • Browser automation
  • Microsoft SSO

02

HR Payroll Workflow Automation

HR Payroll

Before
3–4 days
After
~1 day
Context
Per monthly payroll cycle

Monthly payroll relied on several manual Excel processes: reconciling leave and absence records, overtime submissions, fingerprint attendance exports, payroll and tax calculations, then preparing and distributing payslips — moving information between files by hand.

I built an installable offline tool that consolidates them, using employee IDs as a consistent identifier so records match reliably across sources. The repetitive consolidation is automated; decisions that need HR judgement, leave approval among them, stay with a person.

In the product

  • Attendance and leave reconciliation
  • Overtime consolidation
  • Payroll and tax calculation support
  • Payslip preparation
  • Automated payslip distribution

03

Media Buying Workflow & Campaign Generation Platform

Media Buying

Production

Before
Manual campaign setup
After
Structured bulk campaign generation

Media buyers depended on individual Project Managers telling them when a post was ready, then set campaigns up by hand — page, post, budget and objective — for many brands at once, on posts published across different days including weekends.

I designed and built an internal platform where the weekly project is configured in advance, Project Managers submit Facebook Post IDs into it, and the system generates the Meta-compatible CSV bulk template — Awareness and Engagement objectives together, the way the organisation actually runs campaigns. A Teams notification tells the channel the week is open.

The exact time saved has not been formally measured, so no figure is claimed here.

In the product

  • Weekly project setup
  • Post ID submission workflow
  • Readiness review
  • Meta-compatible CSV bulk template
  • Awareness and Engagement objectives
  • Microsoft Teams notifications

A multidisciplinary journey.

About

I have a Computer Science background but began my career in design. The disciplines have added to one another rather than replaced one another: graphic design, creative and digital experience, UX and product thinking, marketing technology, automation, and AI-assisted product development.

My strongest differentiator is not any individual tool or framework. It is identifying a real business problem, understanding the workflow behind it, redesigning the process, and turning the solution into a working digital product.

I do not position myself as a traditional programmer who manually writes every line of production code. I use AI coding agents as an implementation layer inside a structured product-development process, and keep ownership of requirements, workflow, UX, technical direction, review, testing, security considerations, deployment and iteration.

I learn engineering by directing, observing, reviewing, testing and iterating on those implementations. That has progressively expanded what I understand about software architecture, frontend and backend systems, databases, APIs, infrastructure, security and deployment.

Where work is deterministic and repetitive, I automate it. Where it needs human judgement or approval, it stays with a person.
